Top Five Budget Tips for the Wedding Venue

  1. Use one venue. Many locations have the ability to be both a ceremony and reception venue, which means you don’t have to pay two separate location fees.
  2. Do an all-inclusive package. They take care of everything (decorations, food, and cake). They have deals with various services and then pass the savings on to you.
  3. Go non-traditional. Places that don’t always host weddings may be cheaper than those that are considered wedding venues.
  4. Skip Saturday. Saturday is the most common day to get married. So try playing the supply and demand card and see if you can get a cheaper rate if you host your wedding on a different day (like a Sunday or Friday).
  5. Don’t over-rent space. Make sure that the space you rent is right for the number of guests that you will have. Only expecting 100? Don’t look at venues that accommodate 300 guests.
