Deals and Steals: Post-St. Patrick’s Day Items That Would Work In Your Wedding

I may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post. This helps me support my blog and my family at no extra cost to you.

If you're not planning a St. Patrick's Day wedding then it may never occur to you to pick up some holiday décor or supplies once the season is over. Totally understandable but completely off-base, y’all. No matter when your wedding takes place – post-holiday sales are a GREAT place to nab some killer products (and at AWESOME prices) to fancy up your ‘nups!

Example #1: Stock up for a candy buffet!

Fill your buffet with every candy you can think of in every shade of green imaginable. Most holiday candy is marked at half-off (or more!) and, other than the color, is none St. Paddy's Day specific. So, perfect for an amazing green candy buffet!

Example #2: Open the bar!

No one likes a cash bar. NO ONE! But, you’re on a budget. What to do, what to do? How about loading up at post-St. Patrick's Day booze sales? Beer and Irish whiskey are generally overstocked at this time of year so many different types can be scored (in bulk!) at great prices once March 18th hits. Stock up and host an open (limited) bar.

Example #3: Create a DIY photobooth backdrop!

DIY photoboothes are all the rage and are super easy to incorporate into your wedding. Set up camera, add props, and hoist up a backdrop. Creating a backdrop is way easy (and affordable) if you hit the post-holiday sales. Use garlands draped over a bar or tack up a green tablecloth. And don't forget the green hats, boas, orange beards, and other fun props!

Are you hitting the post-holiday clearance sections for a little sumpin’ sumpin’ for your wedding?
