Stay Healthy And Hydrated With Neutrogena® Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream

I may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post. This helps me support my blog and my family at no extra cost to you.

One thing I learned from living in Alaska is that during the winter months, it's VERY important to keep your skin hydrated (from the inside out). Not only does it make you feel better (no itchiness or tightness of the skin) but it can actually help you stay healthy during this time of year. That's why I actively work to keep myself hydrated on the inside and the outside when it's cold outdoors and the forced air is on indoors. From drinking tons of water to stashing tubes of lotion everywhere, here's what I do to stay healthy and hydrated (with Neutrogena® Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream).

Tip #1: One of the best things that I do to protect myself from the harsh, damaging weather is to wearing gloves whenever I go outside. I have some that can convert from touchscreen-friendly gloves to mittens in seconds and love how I never have to remove them when outdoors. Not only do my gloves keep me warm, they also protect the delicate skin on my hands from the elements.

Tip #2: Drink, drink, drink (and I don't mean wine). Drinking water is like, EVERYTHING when it comes to staying healthy. Not only does it help you on the inside but it helps your skin stay soft and supple – even in the coldest weather.

Tip #3: Maintenance is huge during the winter months. In fact, in my opinion, it's even more important to have regular manicures and facials during the colder season because your skin generally is neglected under all your layers of clothing. And yes, this is a perfect excuse to sneak off for regular pedicures!

Tip #4: Use lotion all the time. I'm partial to Neutrogena® Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream since it is supported by dermatologist has been clinically tested on even the worst dry, chapped hands. Plus, it provides lasting relief - up to 17 hours! Using a quality lotion can repair your skin's natural moisture barrier which not only elminates chapping, cracking, and dry cuticles but can also help your skin remain healthier and smoother for a longer period of time.

Tip #5: Eat your greens and lots of them. Green vegetables are like the workhorses of the food world – they work their butts off to keep you heathy! Personally, I'm one of those dorks who loves spinach and kale but if it's tough for you to get in your greens then try adding ahandful or so to soups and stews. Or, try making a big batch of kale or spinach pesto and use it to sautee up some chicken and vegetables. It's tasty and so good for you!

I use Neutrogena® Norwegian Formula® Hand Cream to protect my skin during cold, winter months and treat dry, chapped skin. I love that it was originally developed in Norway for Arctic fishermen who needed to protect their own hands from some of the coldest, harshest weather. What's your favorite thing about the #HandCream?
